Although most manufacturers recommend a transmission flush every 30,000 miles or every two years, some symptoms may indicate that you need a transmission flush sooner. Some of the symptoms that indicate that your car needs a transmission flush sooner are: transmission grinding or strange noises, problems shifting gears, slipping gears, surging of the car, and delay in vehicle movement. Flushing the used fluid from the transmission washes away tiny particles of dirt, clutch material, and metal shavings. For all your transmission flush needs, call 507-451-8678 or visit Ron's Repair Service today - we are transmission experts.
A cylinder head is the closed end of a cylinder (located in a car's engine block). It sits above the cylinder block, closing the top of the cylinder and forming the combustion chamber. The cylinder head coordinates airflow in and out of the engine. Since the cylinder head's chief function is to seal the cylinders properly, insufficient compression results in the car being difficult to drive. To have your cylinder head checked and repaired, talk to Ron's Repair Service's cylinder head repair and reconditioning specialists today.
A timing belt is a part of your car's internal combustion engine. The belt synchronizes the camshaft and the crankshaft rotation so that the engine valves open and close at the correct timings. Also, the belt prevents the piston from striking the valves in an interference engine. A timing Belt is a rubber belt that usually features teeth on the inside surface, while a timing chain is a metal roller chain. Most cars we drive now have timing belts instead of timing chains and gears. Although different manufacturers have their recommended mileage, you need to have your car's timing belt checked regularly. To have it checked by experts, contact Ron's Repair Service today.
A cylinder block is the powerhouse for the motor vehicle. The solid cast car part houses the cylinders and their components (gaskets, valves, and seals) inside a lubricated and cooled crankcase. Since it is one of the most important parts of your car, the block is designed to be extremely strong and sturdy. Although strong and sturdy, the block is susceptible to failure resulting in a vehicle that won't start. Cracked blocks, porous blocks, core plug, or freeze plug failure are some of the problems facing cylinder blocks. Call 507-451-8678 to talk to the mechanics of Ron's Repair Service about your cylinder block problems.

I have driven my car back to the dealership where I bought the car from for years which was over an hour away because I never felt I received the honest and straightforward auto service I deserved in Owatonna. I was quite impressed with my first experience with Rons repair. My car just came out of warranty and I was having some issues with my A/C. Rons was able to get my car in right away and had it fixed that same day, but what really made them stand out is I had a cabin air filter in my backseat that I was going to install at some point and when I picked up my car they had informed me that they went ahead and installed that filter for me. I was not expecting that, saved me the hassle of doing it and it compelled me to give them a great review. All my service work will from now on be going to Rons!!
I have been going to Ron's for over five years. I have found their service to be excellent and they never do anything that is not necessary. They are honest and do a great job. I would recommend them to anyone in my family or any of my friends. Rons Repair rocks!
Ron and the crew have always been there for our family when our vehicles need attention, at times with short notice even. Great communication, honesty, and good pricing.
They like dogs, I like dogs. I like a working car, they make that happen above and beyond. And I even got a flower when my car was all done. What lady doesn't love that?
Great service and friendly staff. Not to mention there are DOGS!!
Great, (and honest), service at an awesome price! Mike and the boys at Ron's will take of you and all of your vehicles! They fit me into the schedule on short notice and have a loaner for me to use while they work. Thanks Mike!
I walked in overwhelmed from a crash on the highway, from out of town and another 2 hours away from home. They looked at the car and made sure it was drivable until I could get it home for the night. He got me chocolate and water to calm my nerves and made sure I was ok to drive before I left. Would recommend his shop to anyone, wheather you’re just driving through or a local.
